Nalmoe Drum Dance Group of Daepyeong Middle School

Dedicated to preserving and promoting the treasured traditional culture of the Seogu District of Daegu, the Nalmoe Drum Dance Group of Daepyeong Middle School has earned numerous championships in the National Nalmoeok Dance Competition and has received awards in various categories at the Korean Folk Arts Festival. Their energetic performances combine traditional and contemporary elements. Beginning with a powerful brass ensemble, accompanied by the taepyeongso and other wind instruments, and supported by drums, janggu, and gwaenggwari, the group creates dynamic marching rhythms. Through varied rhythmic patterns and intricate movements, they vividly present the spirit and motion of Korea’s traditional troupe performance.
